She's Here!

Our sweet new daughter, Megan Elizabeth, was born on Tues. Nov. 9th at 12:30pm. She weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and 18" long. At her two week checkup she had already gained 13 oz...yes, she is a eater as those big checks will confirm, although the rest of her is pretty skinny. She still has her days and nights switched - which means about every 2 hours at night we think we need to eat and then take long naps during the day. But then you just look at her and melt so it doesn't matter that you don't get any sleep.

Samantha is a doting big sister who has handled this transition very well, much to our relief. We were a little worried about what trantrums or other episodes might occur with a sibling taking some of Mom & Dad's attention away from Sam, but she has been awesome! She is my big helper and has grown up so much these past few months; I can't believe how fast time flies.

So here are a few pics for you to enjoy. We only have about 200 to choose from....I know, a little carried away, but what new parent isn't, right :-)

look at her already trying to hold the bottle - the little piggy :-)

Fall Fun

Sam had such a fun time in our little pile of leaves from the three trees in our front yard. She is at such a fun age where all the little things about the season is fun and exciting. She helped Brandon rake up the leaves and then had a great time spreading them out again and again. :-)

just some pics

I thought I would post a few photos from the last few months; I never seem to have time to actually sit down and blog for each event. Enjoy!

This is Sam being a "mom" w/ my lipstick on....the first time we had the hardest time not laughing at her. Needless to say I don't use that lipstick anymore.

Tam & Dan - this one's for you :-) It took about 4 days to go away.

Grandma Petra and Dad took Sam to the dinosaur park - her favorite part was looking for fossils in the dirt .

April Fool's Day! Daddy & Sam made a great big snowman together.

this is Sam making cookies for the party and yes, she really did line up the cookies like that by herself.
Grammy Pammy got to come up for Sam's b-day in Feb. After cake and presents we ended upin Sam's room and had a "balloon party" w/ all the girls. It was so much fun!
